Dear Students and Parents/Guardians of Linda Tutt High School,
Welcome to the LTHS family! Thank you for visiting our website to learn more about LTHS and our AMAZING staff. We have 5 different programs throughout the school; Challenge, Journey, Adaptive Behavior, Choice and DAEP. Our staff is working very hard to plan and prepare engaging and exciting activities for all of our students. We are looking forward to seeing our new and returning students. At LTHS, we place high value on building strong relationships with our parents, families, and our community and encourage all of us to take an active role in the development of our students as they are our future community members and the leaders of tomorrow.
It is a privilege to work with your kids every day to help them be the best that they can be. We believe that every student has a gift to share with the world and it is our job to help them unlock those gifts/talents and to use them so they can be successful citizens in our global community. We set high expectations for our students, as well as our staff, so that our students can grow into critical thinkers and become world changers. At LTHS we aim at developing leaderships skills, social/emotional skills, and academic skills to empower our students with the tools to be successful in school and in life.
To help our students be successful at LTHS, and to help them understand what is expected of them in being good learners inside and outside the classroom, we must all work together. Talk about qualities and learning behaviors such as: taking positive risks and not being afraid to make a mistake, viewing errors as learning opportunities, working to recover from a mistake, giving and receiving feedback, asking questions, collaborating with peers, setting goals, planning with a purpose, and tracking their own progress. Our students need to understand that we all have high expectations of them and that we are there for them to support them. We all have ONE goal and that is for our students to be successful. We are beyond excited for this coming up school year and to see all of our students grow to be the best that they can be while they are here at LTHS.
