Linda Tutt

School History

Mrs. Linda Tutt spent her entire professional life in education and she dedicated the vast majority of her career to the students of Sanger Independent School District.  Throughout her 22 years here, Mrs. Tutt was a teacher, counselor, assistant principal and high school principal before she became the first principal of what was then called the Sanger Alternative School in the Fall of 1997.

Mrs. Tutt was special in many ways to the people who knew her in their daily interactions. She was always a friend and mentor to not only her students, but also to the principals, teachers, counselors and coaches she touched every day.

Because of her relentless dedication to her students and the love for her school, at the request of her students, the Sanger I.S.D. Board of Trustees renamed the Sanger Alternative School, the Linda Tutt Learning Center in her honor when the school was relocated to its present location in the fall of 2000.  It is the first school in Sanger I.S.D. to be named in the honor of one of its citizens.
